RFID Overview
In a day and age where more personal details are making their way into publicly available databases, it is important to take care of your privacy. Technology continues to promise to ease our daily lives. Unfortunately, it often comes with a price. The same data that allows you to cruise through a tollbooth without stopping, get a tank of gas at a gas station without taking out a credit card, or a purchase a sandwich without a dollar in your wallet could be valuable to others. This data is stored on tiny little chips called RFID chips. These can be put into credit cards and other IDs and read at a distance in order to make your life more convenient. However, as these chips become more wide spread, people who you do not want having that data could be taking it without your knowledge. It is time to finally protect yourself and your data.
